The NYS CARTS system is the billing and collections system for the Department of Taxation and Finance.

Duties

  • Maintenance of existing systems as well as new development work related to legislative initiatives.
  • Participate in requirements gathering phase.
  • Analysis, design, coding and unit/integration testing.
  • Create and update program specification and detail design documentation.
  • Research and fix production issues.
  • Application performance tuning.
  • Mentor staff on programming standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Experience (12+ Years)
  • Creates computer software. May specialize in one area of computer software or may write code for many kinds of software.

Requirements

  • This is an 100% Onsite.
  • 84 months of COBOL programming experience.
  • 84 months of JCL experience.
  • 84 months of IBM DB2 experience working with databases.
  • 60 months of IDMS Database experience.
  • 60 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
  • 60 months of system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems.
